Liebe Ernteteiler*innen!
Endlich regen! Wir sind sehr glücklich, das Gemüse ist satt!
Die Hasen haben uns den Sommer über gequält und jede Woche auf s Neue den Salat weggefressen und nun auch die Sojabohnen. Mittlerweile sind alle Löcher im Zaun geflickt und wir hoffen die Hasen sind draussen, zumindest bei unserer Feldbegehung zu 16t plus Hunden haben wir keinen mehr gesehen….
Doch nun das Wort an unsere Praktikantinnen:
Hi everyone, from this on we start writing in English since we spoke a lot in English the past weeks. We, Fabiana and Clara, are from Germany and France. Ochsenherz welcomes people from many nationalities – Romania, Gambia, Germany, France, Ukraine, Luxembourg, … Because of that, there are many different languages spoken here. Often we use sign language!
When weeding, harvesting, planting, seeding, watering, carrying things, cooking, eating, you can hear a beautiful mixture of laughter, singing, humming, barking – on top of nature’s sounds. (Even during silent moments you hear a handful of things!) Especially weeding is a moment of share and exchange. We talk a lot about newly learnt things, our families and the differences of the cultures we grew up in. For example, today during harvest Clara heard for the first time about the stereotype of German people blocking pool seats with the towels during holidays. People say that Germans block the seats for the whole day, even leave for lunch and coffee!
You see, apart from agricultural knowledge there is a lot to learn at Ochsenherz! And we have a lot to tell after the last weeks and we would love to write it down for you but unfortunately we need to leave you now to join the cheerful crowd to enjoy the good-bye-party the team organized for us.
Thank you so much for the good time to Ochsenherz! We learned a lot of things! We were even happy to work during the high heat since we were working with a pleasant team!
We will definetely come back!

der Geheimcode der Tomaten: sind sie aus einer weißen Kiste kommen sie aus dem Tunnel, sind sie aus anderen Kisten sind sie Freiland. Bei den Freiland gibt es seltsamePunkte manchmal durch den starken Regen, zum Verkochen bestens geeignet!
Okra: soll bis zur Spitze weich sein, dann kann man ihn ganz essen, harte kann man trocknen und zermalen, mittlere kleinschneiden, dann geht es auch gut zu essen
